US actress and comedian, Tiffany Haddish, has expressed delight on her trip to Africa, noting the continent’s fascinating allure and places.
In a recent post on her official X (formerly Twitter) account a few days ago, the comedian said, “Listen up, folks! There is nothing better than exploring Africa and seeing the truth with your own eyes! My soul is overflowing with joy, and my heart is like, “Why didn’t we do this sooner?” This place is unreal!”
In an earlier post, the US comedian, who starred in top Hollywood movies like Girls Trip, Night School, among others, urged her followers to join her at a Zanzibar come party. “Tonight is Karaoke and I will be singing and Dancing,” she said.
A day later, Haddish reposted a YouTube video showing the ‘Top 7 East Africa’s Biggest Malls.’
The American also reposted a video from an X user which showed a Caucasian showing her excitement on visiting Eritrea.
“A country full of surprises, such a unique place to see with its heavy Italian influences with heavy Eritrean twists. I really enjoyed visiting here. Thanks for joining me in the Horn of Africa,” noted the video.
Commenting on the video he posted, the X user wrote, “What is said about Eritrea by its western media does not match the truth, come and see. Thanks for visiting Eritrea, sister, I hope you had a good time there.”
Half-Eritrean, Haddish had visited her father’s home country during a holiday trip in December 2021, and was given a warm welcome to her grandfather’s village
The American’s recent consecutive posts provided some clarification to her also recent viral TikTok video where she is seen expressing shock that Africa has grocery stores.
“Look at this grocery store. It’s huge! It’s absolutely humongous. In Africa, baby. Yeah. Believe it, believe it, believe it, believe it. Africa. Zimbabwe. Uh-huh,” she said in the viral video which was criticised by many.
But the comedian later claimed that her video, which she shot in a grocery store in Harare, Zimbabwe, was actually showing to the world that they were taught wrong things about Africa.
Commenting on his post showing her viral video, an X user wrote, “Tiffany Haddish is surprised that there’s a grocery stores in Africa..? What’s wrong with these people?”
Haddish then commented under the post, “We have been lied to, that what’s wrong.”
