BET Awards 2026: Full Winners List as Teyana Taylor, Clipse and Kendrick Lamar Shine
The 2026 BET Awards took place on Sunday at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles, bringing together some of the biggest names in music, film, television and sports.
Hosted by comedian Druski, the annual ceremony celebrated Black excellence and cultural achievement across entertainment and athletics.
Established in 2001 by Black Entertainment Television (BET), the awards have grown into one of the most important platforms recognising Black artists, creators, athletes and storytellers from around the world.
This year’s edition saw strong African representation, with Nigerian Afrobeats stars Tems, Burna Boy, Wizkid and Asake, alongside South African singer Tyla, securing a combined seven nominations across five categories, underlining Afrobeats’ growing influence on global pop culture.
African nominees found themselves up against some of the ceremony’s biggest winners. Clipse denied Wizkid and Asake in Best Group and beat Burna Boy in Best Collaboration alongside Kendrick Lamar, while Kehlani edged out Tems for Best Female R&B/Pop Artist. Tyla, meanwhile, missed out in categories won by Kehlani and Mariah the Scientist.
