CAF U-20 AFCON: Nigeria Prepare for Morocco, Tunisia, Kenya

Ahead of the 2025 CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations, Nigeria’s U-20 male team, the Flying Eagles, on Tuesday recorded the morale-boosting victory against Egyptian counterparts, Young Pharaohs, winning 2-1 in a pre-tournament friendly at the Cairo International Stadium.

Egypt are hosts of the 17th edition of the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations, which will begin on Sunday.

The Flying Eagles’ will play their first match against Tunisia on Thursday next week, before further games against Morocco and Kenya in Group B.

Morocco’s Atlas Cubs will be aiming to capitalise on the country’s growing youth development reputation to end a 28-year wait for their second CAF U-20 title.

Hosts Egypt, will take on South Africa on Sunday, before further games against Sierra Leone on 30th April, as well as Zambia and Tanzania on May 3 and 9 respectively in Group A,
